More than 500 veterans will be honored at the annual Veterans Day ceremony in North Charleston Tuesday morning.
The annual event is being held Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Park Circle from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Hundreds of veterans will receive recognition from Mayor Keith Summey and members of North Charleston City Council.
This is the fourth year North Charleston has been selected as a regional site for Veterans Day ceremonies by the Department of Defense and the Veterans Day National Committee.
Vietnam War veteran Lt. Col. Clebe McClary will serve as keynote speaker.
Before the ceremony, there will be a story swap at the Felix Davis Community Center where veterans will have a chance to share memories about their service.
There will be a new element this year with photo display. The 1st Combat Camera Squadron put together photographs that were taken from the perspective of the Air Force during past wartime strategic, operational, worldwide crisis contingencies, joint exercises and humanitarian operations.
