MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating after a woman claimed she was robbed at knifepoint while in her vehicle in Mt. Pleasant over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Ira Road just off Highway 17 South Saturday around 7 p.m.
According to the victim, she had just turned onto Ira Road when a man walked up to her vehicle. The victim told police she thought something might have been wrong with her car so she stopped and rolled the window down.
The suspect reportedly pulled out a knife with a five to six inch blade and told her to give him money or else he would hurt her.
A report states the victim gave the suspect her wallet, which the suspect took the money out of before returning it to her. He then fled the scene.
