JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A meeting planned for Monday night to update people most affected by Harbor View Road improvement project on James Island has been postponed.
Charleston County spokesperson Shawn Smetana said the meeting will be rescheduled, but a new date has not been determined.
The purpose of the meeting will be to provide homeowners, homeowners association representatives and business owners along the route answers to their questions about the progress of the project. The plan calls for having two lanes in the center at major intersections, more traffic signals and a roundabout at Harbor View and Fort Johnson Roads.
In the meantime, anyone who wants information about the project should call the Charleston County Transportation Development department at (843) 202-6140.
