MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - A dog that had been shot several times and left for dead in Hollywood took its first steps since surgery.
Dara, a hound dog found with multiple gun shot wounds in two of her legs on Nov. 7, is recovering from surgery at Veterinary Specialty Care in Mount Pleasant. The facility posted two short clips today showing Dara taking her first wobbly steps since being operated on.
Charleston County deputies are still searching for the person responsible for the crime.
Dara is expected to be available for adoption through the Charleston Animal Society once she recovers.
