NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Officials say a 23-year-old man died after being found wounded inside his car in North Charleston.

Police say responded to the area of 5402 Dutton Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on reports of shots fired and found 23-year-old Kevin Radley seated inside his vehicle bleeding from his left hand and the left side of his abdomen, the incident report states.

Radley was rushed to MUSC, where he died around 10:30 p.m., according to the Charleston County coroner.

Police say a handgun was located between the Radley's legs. According to witnesses, Radley was seen sitting in the vehicle outside the apartment when gun fire was heard.

Witnesses told police the victim may have been fired at by a gunman wearing a black hoodie and who was then seen running from the scene towards Sumner Avenue.

Police say they found a shell casing along with a projectile on the ground outside the vehicle near the driver door, and several shell casings throughout the vehicle. A nearby trailer had four entrance holes on one side and two exit holes on the other side, the report states. A pickup truck parked nearby had a projectile strike the inside rear passenger wheel well and had blood spatter on the rear passenger side near the tail gate, the report states.
