GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown County investigators say a man suspected of robbing a Chinese restaurant during the weekend robbed another Tuesday night.
Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say shortly after 8:30 p.m., an unidentified man, carrying a gun, went into the China Chef on 756 Mink Avenue in Murrells Inlet and demanded money.
When the suspect got the money, he left the restaurant.
Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, slim build and wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie sweatshirt and a red bandana covering his face.
GCSO investigators say that based on the description of the robbery and the suspect, they believe the suspect is the same individual responsible for an armed robbery that happened at the China Wok on 115 Willbrook Blvd. in Litchfield at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
A man, armed with a gun, entered the restaurant and demanded money. Once he got the money, he left the restaurant and took off in a small vehicle. Deputies say witnesses were unable to give an exact description of the vehicle.
Investigators described the suspect then as a white male, 5'7" to 5'9" tall, slim build and wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie sweatshirt and a red bandana covering his face.
The sheriff's office released a photograph on Tuesday capturing the incident. Anyone who has information is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102.
