NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Traffic is once again moving on Ashley Phosphate Road following an earlier accident involving a train.
Officers say a train collided with a vehicle Thursday morning in the area of Ashley Phosphate and Southrail Road in North Charleston. North Charleston Police and Fire Department responded to the accident.
All lanes were temporarily shut down while crews responded to the scene, and traffic was redirected down Cross County Road. Police say the train has been moved and Ashley Phosphate has been reopened.
Injuries have been reported, according to dispatch.
