NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a 37-year-old North Charleston man is behind bars after he was caught signing for a package that contained over 11 pounds of marijuana.
Curtis Brown was arrested Thursday and charged with trafficking marijuana.
According to an affidavit, Metro Major Case Unit detectives conducted a controlled delivery Thursday of a package that contained approximately 11 pounds 7.3 ounces of marijuana addressed to "Emily Smith" at 4751 Skillmaster Ct. in North Charleston.
An undercover postal inspector arrived at the home with the package, and reportedly told Brown she had a package for "Emily Smith."
Records state Brown signed for the package under the name "Emily Brown."
Brown is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Charleston County Detention Center.
