Suspect sought for shooting, home invasion at James Island home

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a suspect who broke into a home on James Island and shot one person.

At 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to a home on the 1100 block of Landsdowne Drive.

According to a report, deputies arrived and found the victim several houses down from the incident location.

The victim was bleeding from a gunshot to the side.

The victim told investigators that a man entered his house and shot him.

According to the victim, he and the suspect then ran out of the house with the suspect fleeing towards Fort Johnson Road and Camp Road.

The victim said the suspect then jumped into a car driven by another suspect. EMS transported the victim to MUSC.
