CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police say a convicted felon faces new weapon and narcotics charges.
Anthony Rhue, 54, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within close proximity of a school, according to police spokesman Charles Francis.
The charges followed the execution of a search warrant by police at Rhue's Rondo Street apartment on Dec. 11, Francis said.
Rhue was taken into custody in the 2000-block of Savannah Highway prior to the search, Francis said.
Police say they confiscated 2.8 grams of heroin and a handgun.
Rhue was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
