CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say forensic evidence at the scene of a car break-in led to the arrest of a downtown Charleston thief.
The Charleston Police Department arrested 33-year-old Thomas L. Gadsden of North Charleston and charged him with breaking into a motor vehicle and property crime enhancement.
On Dec. 8, police responded to a home home on St. Margaret Street for a theft from a vehicle.
Police say someone entered the unlocked vehicle and stole an iPhone and a checkbook.
CPD officials say the investigation is continuing.
