Police arrest 2 teens in Mt. Pleasant armed robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Mt. Pleasant police arrested two teens on Friday in connection with the armed robbery of a Coleman Blvd restaurant.

Makil Gethers, 18, and Devon Gillian, 16, are charged with armed robbery of the Subway restaurant, according to Mount Pleasant Police Inspector Chip Googe.

Police responded to a silent alarm triggered at the sub shop on Thursday around 9:17 p.m.

An employee told police the suspect entered the business through a side door, presented a hand gun, and said to give him money or else he'd shoot. After receiving an undermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene. The employee described the suspect as black male with very light skin, approximately 6'02" with a slim build. He had red hair and freckles, and was wearing a gray hoodie.

A judge set bond for the teens at $200,000, Googe said.
