Six More Commit To Medal of Honor Bowl

CHARLESTON, SC - The Medal of Honor Bowl had 6 more players accept invitations to play in next month's 2nd annual game at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Tuesday including players from Arkansas and Virginia.

Virginia RB Kevin Parks headlines the group committing on Tuesday. Parks is coming of a season that saw him rush for 745 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Cavaliers. Over the course of his career he rushed for over 3200 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Arkansas Guard Brey Cook becomes the 1st offensive lineman to commit this year. He was a big part of a Razorbacks offense that rushed for over 220 yards per game this season.

The 1st Quarterback announced for this years game is Kevin Rogers from Division II Henderson State. He threw for over 3600 yards his senior season while completing over 66% of his passes. He also threw for 34 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

UAB WR JJ Nelson will also be coming to the Lowcountry in January. Nelson, who took part in what turned out to be the final season for the UAB football team, caught 35 passes for 655 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The game also added the 1st two defensive players for the year. Nevada DE Brock Hekking committed coming off a year where he collected 56 tackles, including 10 for a loss, and 5 and a half sacks and ECU DT Terry Williams will join him after getting 34 tackles, 7.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks.

The Medal of Honor Bowl will take place January, 10th at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
