NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The day after Christmas has become more than just a day to eat Christmas dinner leftovers and time to relax with family and friends.
People are using the time to take advantage of some post-holiday shopping deals and store return policies. According to retail experts, shoppers returned approximately $267 billion dollars worth of goods last holiday season.
It was nearly impossible to find a store without a line and people walking in with bags on Friday. Some left with more than they came in with while others walked out empty handed.
Most of the stores return policies allow customers to return items with a receipt, however, with most of the returns being gifts, lots of shoppers are without a receipt and receiving store credit to exchange their items.
