NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) -

North Charleston police are investigating after arresting two suspects in two separate shooting incidents.

First, officers responded to the area of Thomasville Road and Ruff Road around 7 a.m. Friday after reports that someone was being shot at.

The victim told police he was delivering newspapers, when he heard a "pop" sound and his rear window shattered.

The victim said the suspect pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and told him to "stop driving crazy".

Officials say they found and identified the suspect in his apartment building.

The suspect, Jared Meade, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

In a separate incident, officers responded to Kent Avenue around 8 p.m. Friday night after reports that a shooting occurred.

Police say at the scene they found a victim lying on the ground with a single gunshot wound to his lower leg.

Officers say they found the suspect in the yard and the victim was taken to M-U-S-C for treatment.

Officials say the suspect told police he shot the victim thinking that the victim was challenging him and possibly had a gun.

The suspect, Rhajon Akeem Reshane Sanders, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
