CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A dog that had been shot several times and left for dead in Hollywood is doing "really well," according to the Charleston Animal Society.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, officials gave an update to Dara, a hound dog found with multiple gun shot wounds in two of her legs on Nov. 7, saying that Dara will have her cast and three external pins removed next Monday.
Dara recovered from surgery at Veterinary Specialty Care in Mount Pleasant.
Charleston County deputies are still searching for the person responsible for the crime.
Dara will be available for adoption through the Charleston Animal Society once she's recovered.
