Ladson firefighter killed in Anderson Co. crash to be laid to rest Friday

Family and friends of Randy Fallaw will say their final goodbyes on Friday.

Fallaw was a local firefighter with the Caromi Fire Department in Ladson for five years and had recently been promoted to engineer, the department said. Fallaw, 38, died Sunday in a single-vehicle crash.

The service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the J. Henry Stuhr funeral home on Greenridge Road just off just off of Rivers Avenue.

In a Facebook post, the Caromi Fire Department confirmed Fallaw's death.

Anderson County Dep. Coroner Charlie Boseman said Fallaw died shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday in a single-vehicle crash. Officials say he was driving north on Interstate 85 in Anderson County when he swerved to miss another accident, drove off the road and hit a tree. Fallaw was wearing a seat belt.
