GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials say due to a morning wind chill factor expected in the single digits, Georgetown County School District will operate on a two-hour delayed schedule on Thursday, January 8.
School buses will pick students up two hours later than their normally scheduled times. Georgetown County School District employees will report to work on their regular schedule.
"To accommodate working parents with school car riders and school employees with children, all school buildings will be open to receive students who may arrive early on Thursday," states a press release by the district." Elementary schools will receive students at 7:20 a.m., and all middle and high schools will receive students at 7:30 a.m."
