Man shot, vehicle stolen after armed robbery in Ladson

LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say a man was shot Saturday morning after an armed robbery in Ladson.

Deputies responded to the 9900 block of Highway 78 shortly after midnight in reference to a carjacking. Arriving deputies say they found a male victim lying on the ground in front of a home with a gunshot wound to his leg.

According to the incident report, the victim told deputies that when he had walked outside to the 2000 Lincoln LS, two males approached him, presented a firearm, and took the keys to the vehicle. The report says the victim attempted to go to the residence when one of the men fired two shots, one of those hitting the victim. The suspects then reportedly fled the scene.

The victim described the suspects to deputies as two black males wearing all black cloths and their faces were covered.
