CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office donated money to Camp Happy Days from proceeds from last year's motorcycle skills competition.
Deputies presented a check for $4,000 to the charity, which provides a summer camp experience for children battling cancer.
The annual Palmetto Police Motorcycle Skills Competition gives local law enforcement officers the chance to show off their skills in solo and tandem team rides with obstacle courses.
The Charleston-based Camp Happy Days offers its services free to the families they serve.
The next motorcycle competition is scheduled for June 17-20 at the North Charleston Coliseum. The event will again be hosted by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.
