MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - DSW, Inc signed a lease for a new store at Bowman Place in Mount Pleasant, the property management company confirmed.
The 15,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015, according to a news release.
The new location for DSW, which stands for Designer Shoe Warehouse, will be part of the renovated Kmart center off Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and I-526. Kmart closed its doors in January, 2014.
"With DSW's long track record as one of the nation's top shoe retailers, we believe there is no better choice than DSW to join Dick's Sporting Goods, Nordstrom Rack and Kitchen & Company at our Bowman Place development," Donna Patterson, Regional Property Manager for Grove Property Fund LLC, said in a release.
Grove Property Fund LLC owns and manages Bowman Place. DSW is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Once complete, the renovated facility will consist of more than 125,000 square-feet of retail and restaurant space, the release states.
