NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

North Charleston police are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting Sunday night.

Officers responded to 5701 Dundrum Street Sunday night in reference to a male who had been shot. Police say the victim claimed he was going to the store when he got shot, but had no information on the suspect.

According to officials, officers were notified a second victim arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. That victim told authorities he was at the store when he got shot, but did not see who shot him.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, cops say.

Witnesses told police four men were playing dice in the area just before the shooting. Police say both victims denied playing dice.

A resident on Brantford Lane, one street over from Dundrum Street, called police to report her home was hit twice during the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.
