CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A potentially record-breaking blizzard for the Northeast won't have a direct impact on the Lowcountry, but it will help usher unseasonably cold air into the region Monday night.
Live 5 Meteorologist, Justin Lock, says "As this storm strengthens up the east coast it will send very cold air down its back edge, right into the Lowcountry."
Lock says lows tonight will fall to near freezing in most spots away from the coast and breezy north winds will make it feel like the 20s by Tuesday morning.
The good news is that all this cold will come with sunshine.
Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will struggle to reach the 50s.
