NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Emergency officials say crews responded to an accident involving a school bus on I-526 in North Charleston.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of I-526 near the Leeds Avenue exit, Charleston County School District spokesperson Lauren Gandy confirmed.
A car rear-ended the bus, but none of the 12 children on board was injured, Gandy said.
A South Carolina Department of Transportation traffic camera showed the bus and emergency vehicles on the side of the road just before the start of the Westmoreland Bridge.
The North Charleston Police Department and North Charleston Fire Department responded to the scene, dispatchers say.
