Investigators apprehend suspect in Berkeley Co. theft ring

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Detectives with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say they have made an arrest in connection to the theft and recovery of over $100,000 in stolen property.

Acting Sheriff Rick Ollic said 27-year-old Justin Michael Gee of Ladson has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, evading arrest, two counts of drug-related charges and two counts of grand larceny.

Ollic said deputies spotted Gee driving a Ford-150 pickup truck which was reported stolen out of Charleston County.

A BCSO report states Gee fled the scene and a brief foot pursuit followed. Deputies say Gee was eventually caught in the area of Treeland Drive.

A passenger in Gee's vehicle, 30-year-old Robin Nicole Snyder of Summerville, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.

Snyder was given a $5,000 surety bond.

According to investigators, Gee is also wanted by the South Carolina Department of Probation and Parole and other local law enforcement agencies.
