BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say they are now accepting applications for the position of reserve deputy.
"The qualified candidates will receive training at the Sheriff's Office by certified Academy instructors," a press release by the sheriff's office stated."The training will be approximately five months in length with classes held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and several all day sessions on Saturdays starting April 6, 2015."
Authorities say interested applicants can pick up an application from the sheriff's office at 223 North Live Oak Drive in Moncks Corner during business hours; the applications are not available online.
The deadline for receiving completed applications is March 13 at 5 p.m.
