NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Beck will hit the stage at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on May 19.
The 44-year-old alternative rocker's latest album, "Morning Phase," picked up Grammy Award wins earlier this month for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album.
His Album of the Year victory was upstaged by rapper Kanye West, who initially rushed the stage during Beck's acceptance speech before returning to his seat. In an interview after the show, West blasted Beck and the Academy, claiming Beyoncé deserved the award.
Beck rose to stardom in the mid-90's with hits "Loser" and "Where It's At," and has released 12 records over his four-time platinum career thus far.
Tickets to catch Beck at the Performing Arts Center go on sale February 20 at 10 a.m. They will run you $54.50-$74.50, plus tax and fees.
