BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -  Crime Stoppers announced Thursday the reward for information on the fatal shooting of a teen at a block party in Berkeley County last June has been increased to $8,740.

Officials say 19-year-old Ariel Morgan was fatally shot after gunfire broke out during a block party on Tish Lane in Moncks Corner on the evening of June 7, 2014.

"Berkeley County detectives have worked long hours on this case," a release from Crime Stoppers states. "They are asking for the public's cooperation as the case moves forward.

"You may just have the missing piece of the puzzle that will bring justice for Ariel and closure for her family."

Berkeley County deputies say at least seven different guns were fired at the party, injuring four people in addition to Morgan. There were hundreds in attendance.

The initial reward was set by Crime Stoppers at $1,000. Morgan's mother, Kendra Morgan-Stevens, raised more than $7,000 to bring the reward to $8,440 back in October.

A sophomore at Francis Marion University, Morgan took to Twitter the afternoon of the party to say she just wanted to be able to have a good time at the party, and hoped all troublemakers would stay home.
