WEST ASHLEY SC (WCSC) - Charleston investigators are on the lookout for a woman who went on a shopping spree using stolen credit cards.
The Charleston Police Department released three pictures of a woman believed to have stolen a wallet from a customer at the Publix on 1401 Sam Rittenberg Blvd on Feb. 5.
The 86-year-old victim told detectives that she was shopping at the grocery store when someone took her wallet from her purse which had been on her shopping cart.
According to police, the victim said when she went to the register to check out, she noticed that her green wallet had been taken.
The wallet contained cash, a social security card, and multiple credit cards.
The victim said sometime later, a Dillard's loss prevention center contacted her and said someone attempted to buy items using her credit card which was denied.
After the victim received the call, she said she contacted additional department stores where she has maintains credit cards and discovered fraudulent purchases at multiple locations.
CPD officials say the victim's credit cards were used at Target, Belk, Dillard's and JC Penney.
