Report: Teacher dances with students in 'provocative' manner, writes obscene words

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A substitute teacher at Colleton County High School was arrested after investigators say videos showed the teacher dancing with male students in a provocative manner and writing obscene words on a white board.

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office arrested Nicole Perritte of Walterboro on Tuesday and charged her with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was given a $10,000 bond.

Perritte's arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the sheriff's office into videos showing Perritte in class with her students in 2012.

On Jan. 30, 2015 officials with the sheriff's office say they were given the videos by a school administrator who said she had received them from a teacher. That teacher told deputies she received the videos from a former student in 2012.

Authorities say one video showed Perritte letting her students "run wild in class, running on top of desks."

According to the incident report, another video shows Perritte dancing with boys in a "provocative manner."

Investigators say one video shows Perritte writing an obscene statement on a white board with a male student standing by her.

The sheriff's office says an investigation revealed that the incident was reported in 2012 to school administration, but it was never brought to the sheriff's office attention until January of this year.
