CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A passenger on a Carnival cruise ship was injured in a fall Monday night while the ship was on its way back to Charleston.
The female passenger fell near the ship's atrium and was evaluated and treated by the ship's medical team on board, according to Carnival spokesman Vance Gulliksen.
The following morning, the passenger was taken from the ship to a shoreside medical facility for further treatment, Gulliksen said.
There is no word on the extent of the woman's injuries.
Carnival's CareTeam is offering support to the guest and her family members, he said.
