CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A hearing on a motion to lift a gag order in the Heather Elvis murder case has been canceled.
The hearing was to have taken place Wednesday morning in Charleston.
The gag order will remain in place, according to Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy A. Richardson II.
No reason was given for the cancellation of the hearing, and Richardson says his office cannot comment further regarding the case.
Tammy and Sidney Moorer of Myrtle Beach have been charged in the kidnapping and murder in Elvis's Dec. 19, 2013, disappearance. Elvis was 20 years old at that time. Her whereabouts remain a mystery.
The order prevents anyone associated with the case from talking about it.
The Moorers have been out on bond since early February.
