2nd suspect in Shadowmoss burglary surrenders, police say

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Charleston Police Department say the second and final suspect wanted in connection to a burglary at a West Ashley neighborhood has turned himself in.

Officers say 19-year-old Joshua Sizemore of Hampton Bluff Road surrendered Monday and was charged with first-degree burglary. Zachary Choate, 19, of Shadowmoss Parkway was previously arrested and charged with first-degree burglary.

CPD officials say a witness provided investigators with information that led to the identification of the suspects.

According to police, the suspects were walking through the Shadowmoss neighborhood on February 18, pulling on car door handles trying to find unlocked vehicles.

Investigators say the suspects found an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home on Levin Court. Inside of that vehicle, police say the suspects found a garage door opener and used it to gain access to the garage.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly found several keys and used them to enter two more vehicles.

Nothing was taken from the vehicles.

Police are continuing the investigation.
