BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal Berkeley County wreck that took the life of a 35-year-old man Sunday night.
Berkeley County Coroner George Oliver say Derrick Lawrence, of Moncks Corner, was pronounced dead on the scene following a single-vehicle wreck on Wildgame Road around 8 p.m.
According to the coroner, Lawrence was the passenger in the Honda sedan when it went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then went off the left side. The vehicle struck a power pole and overturned several times before coming to a stop.
