Deputies: Warrants issued for suspects in Summerville shooting

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has issued warrants for two men wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 34-year-old man at a Summerville apartment complex in March.

A news release says Javante Johnson and Joshua Manigault are wanted in connection with the death of Justin Roberts, who was shot multiple times outside his apartment in the Haven Oaks apartment complex on Orangeburg Road. Johnson is wanted for murder and the possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and Manigualt is wanted for accessory to murder, after the fact.

According to a representative for the Sheriff's Office, Johnson is in the custody of the Department of Corrections, and Manigault is currently incarcerated in the Colleton County Jail on unrelated charges.

Dorchester County deputies responded to the apartment complex on March 17, 2015 at around 11:50 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

When the deputy arrived, he was flagged down by several people who told him the victim was in front of the H building.

The deputy found the victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, on the ground.
