NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A food truck was towed from a North Charleston gas station following a gasoline spill, North Charleston firefighters say.

Firefighters taped off the BP gas station on Ashley Phosphate and Stall Road Wednesday morning after gasoline spilled from a food truck as the truck was being fueled.

The spill was caused by a leak in the truck's fuel line, according to North Charleston Fire spokesperson Bianca Bourbeau. Firefighters were able to stop the leak until a tow truck could remove the vehicle.

The station was set to reopen as soon as the spilled fuel is cleaned.
