ADAMS RUN, SC (WCSC) - A suspicious package in Adams Run that resulted in road closures Friday afternoon turned out to be packed with shoes and clothing, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the unattended package was found in the area of Highway 174 and Highway 17 leaning against one of the railroad track's signal arms. Highway 174 at Highway 17 was temporarily shut down while the sheriff's office bomb team investigated.
The roads have since been reopened.
Representatives from CSX were also called to the scene, and all train movement in the area was stopped, officers say.
