WEST ASHLEY SC (WCSC) - West Ashley High School hosted its first Wildcat Archery Invitational on Saturday.

Over 300 archers from grades 3 through 12 had the chance to compete and show off their bowmanship skills.

According to the school's coach, Thomas Cousins, archery is among the fastest growing sports in the Lowcountry.

Cousins stated that archery provides an opportunity for students who don't play sports such as football, basketball, or baseball, and that "some of these kids are very good."
