DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 51-year-old homeless Dorchester County man has been arrested on child pornography charges.

SC Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Albert Rosebourgh Taylor, Jr on sixteen counts connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators say because Taylor was a transient, there is a possibility that he may have sexually exploited other children in Dorchester County or elsewhere in South Carolina. They ask anyone who may have knowledge of Taylor's activities to contact their local law enforcement agency.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, a member of the South Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest.
The North Charleston Police Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Fugitive Apprehension Team provided assistance.

While cleaning out a storage shed where Taylor was living, workers discovered two USB drives containing images they suspected were of child pornography, according to authorities.

Law enforcement was notified, and the USB drives and several other items were turned over to investigators. A search warrant was obtained, and numerous images of child pornography were identified, states a report by the attorney general's office.

An arrest warrant was issued, and Taylor was arrested on Thursday. His bond was denied.

He was charged with sixteen counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to twenty years in prison.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
