Lowcountry Cajun Festival to spice up James Island for 24th year

James Island County Park hosts the 24th Annual Lowcountry Cajun Festival on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Guests can enjoy a variety of Cajun and Creole food including jambalaya, alligator, etouffe, andouille sausage, and an ample amount of crawfish. 

The Crawfish Eating Contest takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Contest Stage.

Live bands performing Zydeco and Cajun music will take the Main Stage. Roux du Bayou Cajun Band steps up at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys perform at 2:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Other activities for the family are mechanical carnival rides, inflatables, a craft market, and souvenirs.

Admission for adults is $15. Youth 12 and under are admitted free. Gold Pass holders are also admitted free.
