US Marshals and City of Charleston SWAT worked together Friday morning to arrest a West Ashley man wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants.
Katrell Mitchell, 26, was arrested at his apartment on East Estates Blvd. around 7:35 a.m. He was wanted on warrants for pointing and presenting a firearm and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime in connection with an incident on February 3.
According to affidavits, Mitchell pointed a handgun at a man in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company shortly after threatening the victim at Dodge's Store on Savannah Highway.
Mitchell was identified by investigators as a suspect in the incident on February 9. Three days later, Mitchell admitted to detectives he confronted the victim at Dodge's Chicken, and then drove to Tractor Supply Company.
Mitchell is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.
