GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

Goose Creek police are investigating reports of shots fired involving at least two vehicles Sunday that left one man injured.

An incident report states the shootings occurred Sunday around 5:42 p.m. in the area of McDonald's at 109 N. Goose Creek Blvd. and Bi-Lo at 142 St. James Ave. Initial reports determined both shootings involved a blue vehicle and a gold vehicle, with a dark in color SUV also being involved.

An officer patrolling the area was reportedly flagged down by a witness along Button Hall Avenue who claimed to had witnessed a shootout moments earlier.

Police say tire burnout marks could be seen in the parking lot of BB&T bank and on Button Hall Road. A large crowd in the parking lot of the nearby Bi-Lo told told officers the occupants of two vehicles were shooting at each other in the parking lot, and then fled westbound on Highway 176.

Officers say a second shooting scene was reported in front of McDonald's on Highway 52. The report states all southbound lanes were shut down while crews searched the scene, uncovering three shell casings and two bullet fragments in front of McDonald's and Pizza Hut.

Police say they responded to Sunoco at 200 St. James Ave. after they were alerted that one of the suspect's vehicles was at the gas station. When officers arrived, two subjects reportedly fled on foot, with one going towards Brandywine Apartments and the other towards Etiwan Drive.

The report states the subject who fled to the apartment complex began running towards the officer when he was located, resulting in the officer drawing his stun gun. The subject then complied with commands and was taken into custody. Police say the subject smelled of marijuana, and admitted that he had been smoking. A roll of money was found in the subject's pants pocket, the report states.

The second subject was found on Etiwan Drive with a gunshot wound to the forearm, and was transported to Trident Hospital for treatment. An abandoned dark in color SUV with large rims was found in the area.

No charges have been filed at this time.
