Three people were arrested after investigators responded to a call about a meth lab spill on Monday.

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office charged 48-year-old Ronald Juliano of Round O, 28-year-old Shelley Pafford of Round O and 21-year-old Ashlyn Weidenbach of Cottageville with manufacturing methamphetamine and conspiracy to violate South Carolina drug laws.

Deputies responded to a home in the 600 block of Cannon Road where a resident told them a woman outside claimed to have been contaminated by a red phosphorous methamphetamine lab spill, Sgt. Kyle Strickland said.

Investigators say they found a suspected meth cooking lab on the back porch of the home and encountered two more people on the scene.

The Colleton County Animal Control arrived on the scene and took possession of nearly 20 kittens and four adult cats.

The three suspects were decontaminated by Colleton County Fire Rescue and were transported to the Colleton County Detention Center.

According to the CCSO officials, since 2013, deputies have responded three times to the suspects' home and discovered and dismantled methamphetamine labs.
