Charleston police release pictures of James Island bank robbery suspect

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Charleston Police Department have released surveillance pictures of an individual wanted for a bank robbery on James Island.

The robbery happened at the NBSC Bank on 337 Folly Road at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police describe the suspect as a 30-year-old white male, 5'10", skinny and was covering his face and wearing sunglasses and a dark hoodie.

Authorities say it is unknown if the suspect had a weapon.

CPD officials say the suspect then fled the scene following the incident.
