BEAUFORT, SC (WCSC) - MARINE CORPS AIR STATION BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - The skies over Beaufort are going to be filled with the roar of jet engines as the Navy's famed Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron performs at the Marine Corps Air Station's air show.
The air station's newest recruit, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, is also going to be performing for the public during the show. It starts at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be displays of military vehicles and presentations on the capabilities and warfighting doctrine of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Beaufort's commanding officer Col. Peter Buck says the Marine Corps installation is proud to welcome any and all guests to the event, and that it is a testimony to the patriotism and good relationships with the residents of the region.
