CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Double-digit growth continues at South Carolina's ports.
The South Carolina Ports Authority says that, through the end of March, the ports had handled the equivalent of 1.4 million twenty-foot shipping containers. That's an increase of 14 percent over the previous fiscal year.
During March, the ports handled the equivalent of 171,000 20-foot containers. That's an increase of almost 14 percent over March of last year
