NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police arrested a Charleston man in a Wednesday night shooting.
Joshua Rashad Scott, 22, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Police responded to the 6800 block of Ridgebrook Road to a report of a shooting and found the victim lying on the ground in the driveway with several people holding towels to his chest area, an incident report states.
The victim told police a family member shot him, but then did not want to talk further, the report states.
Police say the victim was hit twice, once in the lower throat area and once on his left forearm.
The victim's mother said the gunman fled the area on a bicycle, but police found him a short time later and took him into custody, the report states. Police say they found a black Ruger handgun in Scott's shorts pocket.
Scott was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
