Engines roar for annual Trident Tech car show

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Trident Technical College is hosting its 23rd Annual Spring Spin-Off Car Show on Saturday.

The event takes place at the college's Main Campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Proceeds collected from the show will benefit the W. Athell Fund, which is awarded annually to up to two graduating students for the purchase of tool kits.

Trophies will be awarded in a variety of categories, including best of show, best engine, best paint, best interior, people's choice, and president's trophy.

The New Car Competition will feature dealership vehicles. Guests will have the opportunity to preview new models and vote on their favorite.

Music and food will also be available at the event.

The college's Main Campus is located at 7000 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston.

For parking, visitors are advised to enter the campus from Rivers Ave. onto Mabeline Road, and follow signs to the parking lot behind Building 800.
