NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police say they have arrested a man accused in the April 15 robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank on Dorchester Road.
James Gerald Jenkins Jr., 22, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with entering a bank with intent to steal. Arrest warrants were issued for Jenkins on April 18.
Police say Jenkins entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 4400 Dorchester Road just before 12:30 p.m. and presented the teller with a note.
The note reportedly read, "Don't try me or I'll start shooting. Give me all the money now, $100 and $50 only, No funny games."
Authorities say the teller complied, and the suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money.
Jenkins is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center. His bond was set at $100,000.
