MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators with the Moncks Corner Police Department are on the lookout for a man who stole three television sets from a Walmart after a failed shoplifting attempt four days earlier.

On April 19 at 7:32 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart on 511 N. Highway 52 in reference to a shoplifting.

Store officials said the incident began when a man walked out of the store with three flat screen TVs.

A store security officer reported that when he tried to stop the man, the suspect took off on foot, left the TVs and fled in a blue SUV.

Store officials then reported on April 22 at 9:49 p.m. a man pushed a shopping cart out of the store containing three 32" LED HDTVs without paying for them.

According to investigators, the suspect was the same man who attempted to steal three TVs on April 19.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male in his early or mid 30s with a short haircut and beard, and has released a surveillance picture of the man during the April 21 incident.

If you have any information you are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
